Product Description
Heatmiser Wireless Air Sensor
Important compatibility notice:
The Wireless Air Sensor is only compatible with neoHub G2 and is not supported by neoHub G3. If you are using neoHub G3, please do not purchase this sensor.
The Wireless Air Sensor can be used with the Touch V2, Edge and Neo System and can be used as a single temperature sensor or as part of a group when an averaged temperature reading is required.
The Wireless Air Sensor pairs directly with the Touch v2 and Edge. When used with the Neo System, the sensor pairs to the neoHub G2 and is then linked to the appropriate zone.
Using the Wireless Air Sensor with the Neo System
With this addition, your Neo system can measure temperature from a single wireless air sensor or multiple sensors when an averaged reading is required across a larger area.
The Wireless Air Sensor pairs to the neoHub G2 using the Android or iOS app. Once linked, you can choose how the system operates:
- Monitoring – Measure temperature in another area of the home.
- Pair to Zone – Link the sensor to an existing neoStat.
If you select Pair to Zone, two options are available:
- Averaging – Combines the thermostat’s internal sensor with the wireless sensor.
- Remote Only – Disables the internal sensor and uses the wireless sensor as the primary temperature reference. Multiple sensors will be averaged.
Specification
Range: 40 metres open space. The Wireless Air Sensor communicates directly with the neoHub G2 and does not benefit from the Neo mesh network. Additional boosters such as neoPlug or Boost may be required.
RF Frequency: 868MHz
IP Protection: IP20
Important Neo Compatibility Notes
- Wireless Air Sensor support is only available on neoHub G2. It is not compatible with neoHub G3. To identify your hub, check the rear label for “2nd Generation”.
- The Wireless Air Sensor is not visible in Apple HomeKit.
- The sensor communicates directly with neoHub G2. Signal boosters may be required depending on property size.
- For compatible thermostats, consult the Wireless Air Sensor datasheet.

Great product does what it says on the tin - easy to set up

Rubbish
Bought two. Rubbish ! Very slow to respond, only update every 5 minutes, temp is out by a couple of degrees on both sensors, only whole degree steps. Impossible to use to control heating. I'm surprised Heatmiser actually sell these. AVOID...

Does what it’s supposed to do.

We thought we would give an air sensor a go as we had a cold spot in the property that we just couldn’t sort. The sensor took seconds to pair with the system and it’s transformed the property - no cold spot and the heating is more efficient- money well spent, would definitely recommend this tiny sensor - I couldn’t find a size on the site for it, it’s approx 40mm x 40mm

The product is a great way to control a new area within a UFH loop if the stat is positioned badly originally, you can ask the sensor to control the heating if the new area is cooler than the stat area. This works in principle but the sensor temperature reading does not match that of the stat so took a bit of testing and temperature setting correction before it could achieve it's advertised goal. I reported this but Heatmiser did not seemed to register the issue so not sure they'll correct this! Great idea otherwise

Tiny and easy to hide if you need to

Very easy to connect. Triangulating the measured room temperature with a digital room stat and the heatmiser wired air probe - 1-2 degree differential across the three so probably a good idea to average the readings to trigger the heating. The Wireless Air Sensor, when connected to the NeoHub, allows for this.

Inaccurate temperature measurement and no way to calibrate
I have 2 sensors, both under read. There’s no way to compensate for this. It means that when the remote sensor loses connection with the hub, which seems to happen regularly even though they’re only a couple of meters away, the averaging temperature jumps up and the rooms get far too hot.
