Compatibility Notice - neoHub (1st Generation)
The neoStat V3 requires a neoHub (2nd Generation or later) and is not compatible with the original 1st Generation neoHub.
As the neo system has evolved, newer products have been designed around modern connectivity standards to deliver improved reliability, performance and long-term support. As a result, the latest neoStat V3 cannot be supported by the original neoHub hardware.
If you are upgrading from a first-generation neoHub, a current neoHub is required to unlock the full benefits of the neo smart control system and ensure compatibility with future updates and enhancements.

FAQs
Is neoStat V3 compatible with all neoHubs?
No. neoStat V3 is compatible with neoHub (2nd Generation and later) and is not compatible with the original 1st Generation neoHub.
Why doesn’t neoStat V3 work with the 1st Generation neoHub?
The neo system has evolved to use newer connectivity standards that improve reliability, security and long-term performance. The original neoHub hardware does not support these newer technologies, which means it cannot communicate with the latest neoStat V3 thermostats.
This is a common and unavoidable part of developing modern, secure smart-home systems and ensures the neo platform can continue to support future features and updates.
Do I need to replace my neoHub to use neoStat V3?
If you currently have a 1st Generation neoHub, yes - a 2nd Generation neoHub or later is required to use neoStat V3.
Upgrading your neoHub ensures:
- Reliable connectivity
- Compatibility with current and future neo devices
- Ongoing software updates and system support
How can I tell which neoHub I have?
You can identify your neoHub generation by:
- Checking the product label on the underside of the hub
- Reviewing your original purchase details
- Contacting our support team with a photo of your hub
Can I continue using my existing neo system without upgrading?
Yes. Existing thermostats compatible with the 1st Generation neoHub will continue to operate as designed. The upgrade is only required when adding newer devices such as neoStat V3.

The product is unique in a way that it allows to control 22V valves. There is no other product in Central Europe that can do this. The app is easy to use, although it could be a bit user friendly and intuitive. Connecting the different devices works in general very well, sometimes there are connection problems. I think there is now a new generation that works with WLAN instead of ZigBee that might be more reliable if there is a strong WLAN network. However, to switch I would have to replace all thermostats and the hub I guess.

Fantastic as updated from older sensors. Easy to programme and adjust. The sensor has 1 degree difference ie, set for 21oc but doesn’t start until 20oc is detected. I suspect this happens so the heating is not bouncing on and off like a yo-yo.

Used it before. This replaced one with poor connections (after 8 years)

It seems to date to be working as it should, which I must say was expected. I find some of these reviews asked for far too quickly, therefore completely useless as far as you are concerned, as one has had no time to judge it correctly.

The proximity sensor is a great feature of the neoStat V2. It’s great to have the display and controls illuminate when you place your hand near it, especially in a darkened location. Previous neoStats I had to use a torch to see the controls. The stats work well and easily link to the NeoHub,(15 of them in this particular installation)
